Info For People With Disabilities
This page will become
more detailed as time goes on but here's what we can tell you so far:
- All conference
buildings have at least one entrance that is accessible by ramp (if
necessary) and automatic door.
- All conference
buildings have at least one elevator for travel between floors and at
least one set of washrooms with wheelchair accessible stalls.
(Though, unfortunately not all the washrooms have them)
- Residences are
available in Gage towers that are specifically designed for easy maneuvering
by people in wheelchairs, (low counters etc.) Please feel free
to request them on the accommodation form.
- The conference
budget currently anticipates that all workshops will have sign language
interpretation. Even if budget constraints leave us unable to
fulfill this goal however, we are still committed to ensuring that those
who require sign language interpretation will have it. Please
help us by filling out the access info box on the registration form.
- Visual guides
are available. Please check the appropriate box on the registration
form if you require one.
- Conference buildings
are all close together. Precise information on getting from place
to place will be supplied here at a later date.
